Archdiocese of Bhopal extended Eid-Ul-Fitr greetings to Muslim leaders

The festival of Eid–Ul-Fitr is the celebration of love, compassion and brotherhood enshrined the formation of humanity, said Archbishop Leo Cornelio.

Archbishop Leo Cornelio extended Eid-ul-Fitr greetings of brotherhood to religious leaders of Muslim Community along with Fr. Maria Stephen, the PRO and team.   He said in his message that “Eid is a universal festival which brings all the citizen under one global as brothers and sisters.” He urged the people to pray that their obedience to the Almighty and self discipline for the community be a source of divine fulfilment.

Ramadan is the name of month in the Muslim Calendar during which the obligatory fast is kept by all Muslims, who are able to fast. ‘Eid-ul-Fitr’ is the feast of breaking the fast at the end of the month. The fast rise with the sunrise till sunset, When 30 days of fast are over, between one new moon and the next, the fast is broken. The first day on which food is taken is called ‘Eid-ul-Fitr’, the feast of the breaking of the fast.

Fr. Maria Stephen, the PRO said in his address –“from the beginning of the history the sacrifices the penances were considered the symbols of man’s self offerings and obedience to God. Let us congratulate our Muslim brethren for the successful completion of the long fast, he added. Mr. Sudhir Sharma, Coordinated the successful visit of brotherhood in the city.
