 A delegation led by Archbishop Leo Cornelio of Bhopal with the Members of Council of Catholic Bishops of MP paid a Courtesy visit to Chief Minister Kamal Nath on Monday, 12 Aug. 2019 at Mantralaya at 1 pm.  The council of Catholic Bishops Conference with religious leaders and secretaries of different commissions does take place in the month of August every year. Similarly, the council has taken place for the last three days at Pastoral centre, Arera Colony, Bhopal. This was the first courtesy visit to the CM Kamalnath after he taken over the CM of M.P.

The bishops congratulated the new CM and wished him all the best to lead the state towards all round development in the meeting. The Chief Minister appreciated the Church for all the service rendered to the humanity and he asked the bishops to continue the work without counting the cost.

Archbishop Leo Cornelio of Bhopal led the bishops’ delegation to CM namely-   Bishop James Athikalam-Sagar, Bishop Chacko Thottumarikal - Indore, Bishop Joseph Thyakkattil - Gwalior, Bishop Joseph Kodakalil - Satna, Bishop Sebastian Vadakkel-Ujjain, Bishop A. A. Durai Raj - Khandwa, Bishop Basil Bhuria-Jhabua, Father Maria Stephen- PRO, Father Biju – Secretary and Mr. Sudhir Sharma- the coordinator.
