Archdiocese of Bhopal, joining the Universal Church celebrated the World Grandparents / Elderly day yesterday by honoring the elders of the parishes and institutions following the Covid-19 norms.

Despite the prevailing situation of the pandemic, Archbishop earnestly urged all the priests and faithful to celebrate Grandparents / Elders' day meaningfully while honoring the elderly people of your respective parish and institution”

Pope Francis has (on 31 Jan. 2021) decided to institute the Church-wide celebration of World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly as the consequence of the wide spread pandemic '19. Starting this year, it will be held on the fourth Sunday of July, close to the liturgical memorial of Saints Joachim and Anne, the grandparents of Jesus.
