Archdiocese of Bhopal touches the hearts of labourers and migrants more than 50500 in the city of lakes
Archdiocese of Bhopal alone touched the hearts of daily labourers and migrants more than 50500 in the Bhopal city alone by distributing ration provisions, masks, medicines, milk, and cloths for the children.
Archbishop Most Rev Leo Cornelio Svd, the Archbishop of Bhopal said that it is the need of hour to instill the compassionate Risen Christ in hearts of millions who suffer with various needs due to corona virus. Our God is Emmanuel which means God is with us. He expressed his confidence that in his diocese, consists of Bhopal, Sehore, Hoshangabad and Harda districts, the people will not die of hunger and the basic needs due to lock down. Archdiocese of Bhopal will continue to serve the humanity till the lockdown he said.
It should be noted that Archdiocese has already got activated its ASHADEEP, a centre for Wholeness , for on line counseling. It has also extended its hands to collaborate with MP government to conduct family survey to test corona virus and 50 fathers and sisters conducted survey more than 8624 families sofar.
Archbishop Leo Cornelio Svd asked it's own sisters and fathers belonged to different congregations and schools to come out without fear to feed the hungry, poor and the needy without violating government norms.
When the reporters approached PRO, Fr Maria Stephen to find out the feasibility of helping the needy he said " Archdiocese of Bhopal is a religious and a non profitable society. We sacrifice our meals and other expenditures to feed the large number poor and the migrants and we will continue to do so, he said.
Archdiocese with the help of its Ashaniketan Welfare Centre and BSSS college distributed the provision for cooking, masks, milk etc to the daily wagers, contractual workers, construction labourers, migrants and the needy in :
