Christmas Procession
with Creative tableau by United Christians, Archdiocese of Bhopal
To mark the beginning of the Christmas
season the Archdiocese of Bhopal organized a Christmas Rally 2019 in
collaboration with united Christians of all denominations in the city of lakes on
15 Dec. 2019. The rally began from Campion school ground with a short Prayer by
Pastor Rev. Biju Varghese, AG Church., Bhopal followed by flagged off by Archbishop
Leo Cornelio SVD with papal flag.
The rally began at 3 pm from Campion
School ground and passed through MANIT, Mata Mandir, Nutan College, 10 no. Market,
11 No. and finally ended at St. Joseph School Ground, E-6 Arera Colony, Asha
Niketan Campus at 5:30 pm. Almost taking two hours to reach the concluding
spot.
Archbishop Leo Cornelio SVD addressing
the gathering said – God loved the man so much that He sent His only Son to the
world to make us to experience the newness of life. The newness begins with the
renewal of our personal lives, our relational lives and nature. In every person’s
there are three dimensions namely: God, Man and Nature. We often give more
importance to God and men and forget the nature. Therefore we need to become a
bridge between the above three to avoid Eco-imbalance physical impurity and
social division. Christmas unites man, God and Nature so that we may live in
harmony with three towards an ever lasing happiness, he added.
Archbishop together with all the Pastors
and Priests cut the Christmas cake to express Joy and Happiness in the presence
of large number of faithful and religious.
Fr. Maria Stephen the PRO said that the
United Christians Christmas Rally brought the people together by burying the
differences and promoted unity in diversity, recognising the weak, the least,
the last and the lost. The Christmas rally fulfilled the objectives with the
help and support of all the Priests, Pastors, religious and faithful.
The following Churches participated with
their creative tableau in the rally –Assumption Church (Arera Colony), Mata
Mariam Chruch (Patel Nagar), Queen of the Universe Church (Kolar), Campion Church,
Holy Family Church (Habibganj), Pilar Church (Shanti Nagar), St. John Mary
Vianney (Nehru Nagar), CNI Bethlehem Church, The Zion Church (Kolar), Hallelluia
Church, The Pioneer Church and Love and Prayer Service Society (Prem Nagar).
Queen Mary School (Rajiv Nagar), St. Theresa Girls School (Piplani), United
Engineering (Govindpura) and many more tableau from different places
participated in the rally.
Fr. Shaji E. proposed a vote of thanks to
all the volunteers, Youth, collaborators and benefactors followed by a concluding
prayer by Pastor Samuel B. Francis and final blessings from Archbishop. The
program ended with national anthem. It is to be noted that the people from
different walks of life benefited maximum from the procession by receiving the
message of love, peace and joy.
