Tour to Velankanni under Mukhyamantri Teerthdarshan Yojana
The long awaited Chief Minister’s Scheme for Pilgrimage to Velankanni, Tamil Nadu, began on 5 August 2016, at 12 PM from Habibganj Railway Station, Bhopal. Fr. Maria Stephen, the P.R.O. of Archdiocese of Bhopal and his team reached Railway Station to see off the pilgrims to Vellankanni.
Fr. Maria Stephen on behalf of Most Rev. Leo Cornelio,
the Archbishop of Bhopal thanked Shivraj Singh Chauhan, the CM of M.P. for his
generosity and kindness to arrange this wonderful pilgrimage to quench the
thirst for God and said “the Happiness of human beings comes from external
things remains temporary while the joy comes from inner being which is related
to God remains permanent”. This is the secret of happiness Ministry.
He also thanked the entire team of Railways for arranging
a comfortable journey to Velankanni. Large
number of people along with the relatives and friends of 100 pilgrims of Bhopal
district were presents to wish happiness and safe journey to the travellers.
Nearly 1500 pilgrims from M.P. were expected to reach Velankanni an important
pilgrimage of Mother Mary.
