The
Catholic Christians community, Archdiocese of Bhopal contributed Rs 5 lakh to
CM Relief Fund towards corona Virus'19. On behalf of the Archdiocese, Fr Maria
Stephen, the PRO, Fr Edward Francis, the Procurator and Mr Sudhir Sharma,
Coordinator presented the cheque to the collector Mr. Tarun Pithode on 8th June
2020.
It is to be noted that Archdiocese of Bhopal in collaboration with Ashaniketan Welfare
Centre, MPSSS and BSSS college, PR Office and many religious Congregation distributed
provisions for cooking, Masks, Medicine, cloths , food, water, milk etc to more
than 50,000 daily wagers, contractual workers, construction labourers, migrants and the poor living in Durga Nagar
Ward no 47, Nehru Nagar, Ayodhya Nagar, Idgah Hills, Jehangirabad, Dwarka
Nagar,Janta Quarters, Meera Nagar Ratanpur, Arera colonies, Kolar, Budgery, Katara
Hills Spring Valley, Bairagarh, Old Lambakheda, Anna Nagar besides Sehore,
Ashta, Hoshangabad and Harda during entire
lockdown. Archdiocese also activated ASHADEEP, a centre for Wholeness
for on line counseling. Above thousands are getting immense help from its
Counselors and psychologists till today.
All our schools and congregation belonged to fathers and
sisters are doing great service to the poorer and labourers under the banner of
the Archdiocese, especially Holy cross
school, St Joseph's Coed School, Pillar fathers, CMI congregation, Servite
Sisters Society, Holy Family and FCC Congregation, Holy Spirit Sisters,
Benedictine society, Franciscans, Dominican sisters etc. It has extended its
hands to the government in conducting corona survey for 8659 families in Bhopal
city.
