Archdiocese of Bhopal
along with the different Religious leaders and the students of Bhopal city celebrated
Rakshabandhan at Pastoral Centre, Arera Colony Bhopal. Archbishop Leo Cornelio
ji, Sardar Harijeet Singh ji, Haji Md. Haroon ji and local MLA Surendra Nath
Singh ji were present as the symbol of
love , peace and harmony.
On this auspicious festival
Archbishop Leo Cornelio said in his address that “we are all the sisters and
brothers of one family, as we are the sons and daughters of one God. This
festival goes beyond any religion and institutions to love and trust each other
as the world becomes suspicious on the relationship with one another. This is
the need of hour to build faith in the world, to make a better world” he added.
Sardar Harijeet Singh
said in his address that this festival brings love and happiness in our life in
order to care for each other so that our sisters can become stronger in the
society.
Muslim religious leader
Haji Md. Haroon said that in India literacy means to get education and to give
education to develop brotherhood in the country so that the world may know that
we are one family irrespective of cast, creed and language.
On Rakshabandhan Fr.
Maria Stephen, the PRO of MP Catholic Churches congratulated the citizens of
the country for the efforts they put to live as brothers and sisters and he
expressed the hope that these efforts will be continued irrespective of divisive
forces in the country.
The students from
schools, namely St. Paul’s, Patel Nagar, St. Joseph’s Co-Ed, Arera Colony, St.
Mary’s, Tulsi Nagar and Theodesian Academy, Kolar were present for the
celebration.
