EASTER MAHOTSAV- 2019 WAS HELD AT BSSS GROUND

Easter Mahotsav was organized in the city of lakes on Sunday 21 April, 2019 from 6.30 pm at BSSS College ground. Nearly, 3000 people belong to Christians/Catholics and other religions came together to celebrate Easter Mahotsav. Fr. Jose Prakash welcomed all the dignitaries with greetings of Easter. On this occasion Archbishop Most Rev. Leo Cornelio, said – Easter is all about knowing, believing, loving and serving the Lord to become serving people, loving people, joyful people and living people. All those who encountered the Resurrected Lord will witness all that he taught, did and proclaimed. Easter is not a one day celebration but an eternal commemoration of Christ love.

The Programme began with a homage to the martyred who gave their life in the bomb blast of the different churches took place in Sri Lanka during Easter Vigil Service and short prayer by Senior Pastor C.P. Singh from Christ Church, followed by lighting the Lamp.  There was a creative welcome dance presented by the students of Servite Sr. Sec. School, Hoshangabad. It was well appreciated by thunder applause from the audience. The Mahotsav was highlighted with 15 minutes sound and light drama on the theme “The Resurrection of Faith” written and directed by Mr. Jerry Arockia Swamy, concept by Fr. Maria Stephen and produced by Easter Mahotsav Samiti.   The story drama was focused on the modern life of people by which the Resurrected Jesus Christ was crucified again and again with their sinful nature. Master Angelo Jerry from Assumption Church sang a song with title you “Raised Me Up” beautifully and received thunder applause from the crowd. The theme dance was presented on Easter from AG Anugraha Church and  Easter Souvenir was released by Most Rev. Leo Cornelio as the climax of the program. Pr. Keshab Pradhan thanked all the guests, volunteers, collaborators, supporters and the laity for making this mega event very memorable one.  Special appreciation and applause went to the master of the ceremony- Ms Shiny Menon, Christ the King Church, Bairagarh.

The BSSS Rhythm students preoccupied the audience before and after the program with their melodious Easter songs. There was an Easter message from different Church Pastors.  The children, youth and old enjoyed the delicious food and attractive games presented in the Mahotsav.

Fr. Maria Stephen the PRO appreciating the sincere collaboration of the Pastors, Fathers, Sisters and all the Christians and Catholics for the mega event an inspiring one to build the community of all faith, said in his reply to a question that the principle of Resurrection teaches us that God will always finish What He started. No matter how dark it looks, how long it’s been, how many people pushed you down, if you will stay in faith, God will always take you from Friday to Sunday and complete what he started in you.

The different religious leaders, educationists and well renowned personalities including Shri Digvijay Singh, former CM and Shri PC Sharma, Minister of Public Relations, were the surprising visitors for the Mahotsav.  It was a colorful and fun filled evening for all the families, well wishers and friends. The entire event got over at 09.30 pm with benediction by Rev. Pr. Amos Shah.
